Sectors we work in
Residential
- Our engineers commonly design individual structural elements for private residential developments on behalf of local builders and home owners around Barnsley, Huddersfield, Wakefield, Sheffield etc. For more information on smaller projects, please see our elements section on residential – homeowners.
- Our Engineers have also been responsible for undertaking the design of refurbishment and new build residential developments both national and internationally, the largest of which was the Air-Panas high-rise, low-cost apartment blocks in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, which comprised of nine 18-story residential apartment blocks.
Commercial
Our Engineers have been responsible for undertaking the design of refurbishment and new build retail projects throughout the country on behalf of retailers such as ASDA, Sainsbury’s and Somerfield before its merger with The Co-operative.
Defence
Our Engineers have been responsible for undertaking the design of new build defence schemes both national and internationally for both foreign and domestic governments. The largest of which was the design of the Khan Bani Saad and An Nasiriyah prisons on behalf of the USAF, as part of the Security and Justice Commission, which won New Civil Engineer and Association of Consulting Engineers’ Outstanding Achievement Award.
Education
Our Engineers have been responsible for undertaking the design of refurbishment and new build education projects throughout the country on behalf of local educations authorities, such as Shropshire Council and North East Lincolnshire Council as part of the Building Schools for the Future initiative.
Environmental
Our Engineers have been responsible for undertaking the design of new build flood alleviation, flood prevention and flood resilience works throughout the whole of the country on behalf of private clients, local authorities and the Environment Agency.
Industrial
Our Engineers have been responsible for undertaking the design of refurbishment and new build industrial projects both nationally and internationally, the largest of which was the $4.8billion Kitimat Modernisation Project in British Columbia, Canada, for which they were involved in designing 43 unique buildings, four of which were half a mile in length!
Leisure
Our Engineers have been responsible for undertaking the design of Leisure and Sports Facilities throughout the country for private developers together with local and national government bodies.
Rail
Our Engineers have been responsible for undertaking the design of Access for All (AFA) schemes, National Station Improvement Projects (NSIP), bridge reconstruction and replacement projects, station refurbishment and platform extensions schemes, with staff who carry out the duties of Contractor Responsible Engineer (CRE) and Civil Engineering Manager (CEM). Our engineers worked on the Halifax Station Refurbishment project which won a Yorkshire White Rose Award.
